Emo Tear

"Emo tear" is a phrase/word that was coined by George, a friend of mine who I have not seen for almost half a year. When we hung out, back in 2005, during the months of July through September, he would every once in a while say "emo tear," and with his finger pretend to have a tear falling down the side of his cheek, to refer to something that was sad. "Emo," for those of you who might not know, is a type of alternative rock music which usually starts out slow, like a rock ballad, and eventually reaches a point where the lead singer will start scream-singing the lyrics, which are usually very depressing and mostly about lost love and messed-up relationships. Anyways, the reason for titling this particular piece "emo tear," is because the phrase stuck with me...and now even I use it to refer to sad things. As a small tribute to him for inspiring the phrase, I drew a little panda (holding a knife of course), since that's one of his favorite animals.
